Lance Show and Publications Ltd to support NOEA Awards 2017

Lance Show and Publications Ltd, organiser of the Showman’s Show will once again be supporting events_entrepreneur the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) Awards later this year, following confirmation of its sponsorship of the ‘Event Supplier of the Year Award’ at the annual celebration.

Lance Show and Publications Ltd and NOEA continue to work in partnership for the good of the outdoor events industry and supporting the awards encourages excellence and best practice. The ‘Event Supplier of the Year Award’ recognises companies that have demonstrated quality in supplier customer relationships that have added value to events.

Events Industry Forum to offer further grants


The Event Industry Forum is making a further £13,000 available in grants for projects that will benefit the events industry.

The Forum, which brings together 28 trade bodies and similar organisations from across the event industry, is inviting applications for funds by April 29, 2016 and will announce successful bids in May.

Individualbuyers can now purchase Intrepid Fox directly from Wine Innovations, allowing them to access the product’s benefits without committing to a large volume purchase.

The decision to offer the service to smaller customers comes in response to increasing demand from caterers who want to take advantage of the benefits of the
pre-packaged wine currently enjoyed by larger retailers.

Fireworks, lasers, Pixie - this show had the Lott!

VW Finance's new £25 million HQ in Milton Keynes opened with a bang last month. Pixie Lott topped the bill,supported by spectacular display of fireworks, lasers, lights and flames. The event was produced by DV8 Global Events and we demonstrated our expertise in rooftop fireworks, using the latest zero-fallout products to create a stunning yet safe close proximity viewing experience. New Working at Height Guidelines

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has published new guidance on the ‘Selection, Management and Use of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP)’.

CDM Regulations to be enforced but…

Following protracted negotiations with the industry, the Health & Safety Executive has been told it has to enforce the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 in the event industry. However, those who have robust risk management systems in place may not be affected too much, they say. To explain, the HSE has issued the following guidance:
